IDF Forces Rescuing Haiti Earthquake VictimSunday, January 17, 2010 On Sunday (Jan.17) forces from the Search and Rescue unit of the Home Front Command rescued a 52 year old man alive from the rubble. The man was rescued in good condition but was suffering from wounds in his limbs and from dehydration. The victim was able to communicate his location by sending SMS messages. Israeli forces were dispatched to the location and were finally able to hear his voice near the wreckage. The Search and Rescue forces were able to rescue him after six hours.
