Israeli Field Hospital Established in HaitiSaturday, January 16, 2010 The IDF delegation sent to assist earthquake victims in Haiti, settled on the island and built a medical facility on a football field to assist casualties of the collapsed UN headquarters in the capital Port-au-Prince. Search and Rescue teams are already searching the city in an effort to find survivors in the rubble.The IDF delegation of aid arrived to Haiti island on Friday (Jan. 15) and began to establish a field hospital to treat thousands of victims from the earthquake. The hospital will be able to absorb 500 casualties a day. In the afternoon, the hospital is already expected to receive wounded victims.
