Activists Protest Against Blockade on Gaza

Israeli government member, Taleb El-Sana, joins about 100 anti-Israel and international activists to protest at the Erez Crossing to Gaza on Thursday December 31, 2009. Demonstrations took place simultaneously in Egypt and on the Israel-Gaza border crossing into Gaza with hundreds of demonstrators protesting the blockade of the Gaza strip, imposed by Egypt and Israel. To mark the one-year anniversary to the war in Gaza, about 100 international activists gathered with some 500 Gazans, chanted and carried signs denouncing the blockade and the on-going conflict. Thirteen Israelis and almost 1,400 Gazans were killed in the three-week war, which Israel launched to stop years of militant rocket fire on its southern towns.
