Israeli Man Moderately Wounded by Kassam Rocket

A man was moderately wounded Monday and several people were in shock after a Kassam rocket landed in Ashkelon city, Israel near a local market on Monday June 16, 2008. Earlier on Monday, The Israel Defense Force killed three Islamic Jihad terrorists after they were spotted planting explosives along the border fence in the southern Gaza Strip, near the Sufa crossing. Givati Brigade troops crossed into the Palestinian side of the crossing and gunned the three men down. One of the bombs went off, but no one was wounded. The IDF said that two bombs, rifles and other weapons were found in the Palestinians possession. All photos by Rafael Ben-Ari/Chameleons Eye.
