BUSH ARRIVES IN ISRAEL FOR FIRST PRESIDENT VISIT

U.S. President George W. Bush and Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert shake hands and say goodbye to each other as Bush leaves to Jerusalem after an official welcoming ceremony January 9, 2008 at Israel\'s Ben Gurion Airport near Tel Aviv. Bush arrived in Israel early Wednesday afternoon, for a visit that will seek to advance peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians. \"We seek lasting peace. We see a new opportunity for peace here in the holy land and for freedom across the region,\" Bush said during the official welcoming ceremony at Ben-Gurion International Airport.
