Avi Dichter at the opening of the new Leadership School/Institute in Sapir College at the western Negev on Tuesday April 29 2008. 20 candidates aged 25-45 with army of social background are being accepted to the institute with its agenda and program is not finalized. The program will either be based on Zionism and Israeli values or strategy and politics. The special course will include 85 academic hours and it will be based on similar overseas programs. The aim of the program is to help students progress in their personal careers as public leaders in Israel. Minister of internal defense Avi Dichter and former minister Silvan Shalom were invited to speak at the opening day of the institute which announced that Gal Hirsh, former IDF Head of the Galilee Division Brigadier General who left the army as a result of the failure of the second Lebanon war will be a lecturing in the new Israeli leader program.
