MIDEAST ISRAEL ARMY LAUNCHES GAZA ASSAULTArmed IDF soldiers overlook Gaza Strip as they prepare to enter at Nachal Oz on Wednesday, June 28, 2006. The Israeli army has begun a ground offensive in southern Gaza to try to gain the release of an Israeli soldier early Wednesday morning. The incursion came hours after Israeli aircrafts struck at bridges and a power plant in the Gaza Strip.
