MIDEAST ISRAEL ARMY LAUNCHES GAZA ASSAULTAn Israeli airforce armed helicopter is shooting towards Southern Gaza Strip area at Kerem Shalom on Wednesday, June 28, 2006. The Israeli army has begun a ground offensive in southern Gaza to try to gain the release of an Israeli soldier early Wednesday morning. The incursion came hours after Israeli aircrafts struck at bridges and a power plant in the Gaza Strip.
