MIDEAST ISRAEL GROUND OPERATION TO FREE KIDNAPPED SOLDIER GAZA SEALED OFFAn Israeli soldier is sleeping on the tank to be ready for a quick move into Gaza strip at Nachal Oz on Tuesday, June 27, 2006 as IDF is on high alert and ready to enter Gaza Strip to free the kidnapped soldier. Prime Minister Ehud Olmert on Monday ruled out any negotiations with Hamas over the release of an Israel Defense Forces soldier cpl. Gilad Shalit kidnapped a day earlier, and declared the Gaza Strip sealed off by land and sea after the soldier was kidnapped on Sunday after an attack by at least three Palestinian factions killed an IDF officer and soldier and wounded four others near the Kerem Shalom crossing in the southern Gaza Strip.
