SDEROT DAILY LIFEAn unemployed Ethiopian immigrant sits outside his house in a Sderot neighborhood on Wednesday 22 Nov 2005. Over the past few years the increasing Kassam rocket attacks on Sderot have caused the already existing poverty, high unemployment rate and low standards of living to increase. Over the past few weeks the Kassam Strikes have caused many residents to move out of the city. Now, Eli Moyal, the mayor of Sderot, has declared a general strike in his town for 24 hrs with the educational year closing early in protest of continuing Qassam rocket attacks by Palestinians and due to lack of protection for the city.
