Israeli Army on High Alert as Pre-Truce Kassam Barrage Rains DownIsrael Defense Forces are on high alert and are patrolling the border between Israel and Gaza after a large barrage of Kassam rockets were fired by Palestinian militants from Gaza strip into Israel on Wednesday June 18, 2008. Amidst confirmations from both Israel and Hamas of a cease-fire to come into effect Thursday morning, Kassam rockets launched from the Gaza strip continued to land in various areas of the western Negev on Wednesday.
